I had recently checked this place out for Christmas ideas. I was very surprised at how well it was managed and all of the extra space. There is tons of merchandise and seems very professional. Give this place a chance, I bet there will be something there, you will be walking out with. : )

Best place to get good chocolate, patio furniture, garden tools and a kayak all on the same trip.
The food items are terrific, with more Bob’s Red Mill products than you thought you needed but sound kind of amazing. It’s our go-to place for sunscreen for the kids, winter gloves, drawing materials, and Taza brand chocolate. A weird assortment, to be sure, but surprisingly quick and easy to shop.

Nice place. They have all these little highly functional stuff that are also uncommonly cheap. I think I will come here more often now. I just got a very cheap thermal socks for my daughter.

Great prices on all kinds of things. Get on their mailing list to be notified of great deals. Their Krazy Deals gives you a gift card worth almost as much as the purchase. I bought something for $129 and received a gift card worth $100. Hard to beat.

The store has about doubled in size as of February 2023. Still being built out and reorganized. They're in the process of reworking the floor plan and already you can see it's going to be really great, probably the largest and best organized OSJL I've been to, and I've been to many. An enormous garden section has opened up in what is now the new far end of the store. They have room for many more items and more inventory. The food section is greatly expanded and well organized. Next to the garden section are brand new accessible restrooms! It was kind of a rabbit warren to navigate in the past it's gone from one of the most cramped stores I've ever been in having a tremendous expansion. You can see the difference already with many of the existing aisles reoriented for better flow and more spaciousness. I buy many things here so I'm really looking forward to the finished product.

I know I pick on these folks a lot but I have to say if you're looking for small appliances , kitchen stuff or really nice drinking glasses . This is the place to go. Especially if you're a single person. Who needs a set of 8 glasses? Here you can buy only what you need. Plus the plastic glasses come in colors. I finally found a pretty blue on to match my new shower curtain. Also the rug department is great.. so all kidding aside folks, going to Ocean State job lot is worth the trip.

They remodeled this store, more organized and have more products. The staff there are very helpful and friendly. Will definitely go back!

I live in the area. I stop by once a week at least. I've bought great products here through the years. Before COVID, like every other business, it use to be fully stocked. It's still decently stocked, but there use to be more pet food, hygiene products, and all. Anyways, customer service is great and the store is pretty clean and organized everytime I shop here. Great staff.

I have been going to the waltham store for about three years. I don’t usually write reviews but I have to point out the excellent customer service from the women Terri. She is always running around and visibly working hard. Terri is
very helpful, friendly and always showing me something new in stock. Also, I have noticed when I’m in the store that the displays she is working on always look great!

The staff is incredible! It's been probably never in my life I can say I have seen such strong hard dedicate workers and communications between them. This is an incredible customer service experience. The crazy thing is, Ocean State Job Lot can't obviously pay as well as other companies but these workers are so happy to be working at such a place wages are a ceiling and to be so enthused about their relationships they have with one another is a far better level. If I could give a 6th star 🌟 I would immediately without hesitation. Keep up the awesomeness guys!

I always find something to buy here. I need textbooks covers. They had them a dollar a piece. I also had a great cashier on Tuesday at the first register asked all the right questions from needing a bag to looking up rewards, so spot on.

Hey, at least they're finally remodeling the above discount store in Waltham after all to help make it much more inviting to our fellow shoppers & myself too, respectively.
Ditto for continuing to have some clear signage so everyone & I can find what we're looking for (i.e. Housewares & healthy snacks, respectively).
