It intentionally utilizes perhaps the most overused setting and premise in the anime industry as of late, and then tries to put its own spin on it in order to make it stand out from the crowd. There's illusion of growth and development when in reality it's random nonsense between decently animated but at the same time very predictable and boring fights. Antagonists are just garbage.
